Text Box: It has come to my attention that Baltimore County has rezoned our flood zones, which potentially could change the insurance that some of our neighbors have. Marc Boyd recommends that you contact Baltimore County with any questions that you have regarding the change. Surveying may need to done to determine if flood insurance is necessary. There is a gentleman in Beachwood, Mr. Foy, who is trying to negotiate a price with a surveyor for anyone that may need an elevation certificate due to the new flood maps. He said that he thinks he can get a discount if there are 4 or more people because they can do them all on the same day. So, if you can put something on the website where you put the flood maps letting people know that they may be able to get a discount on an elevation certificate if they act on it quickly by calling MRA and we will give them Mr. Foy’s contact number as he is coordinating it with the surveyor but he doesn’t want his phone # plastered on the website. I assume that once Mr. Foy has his completed he won’t be interested in this any longer so make sure you stress that they need to act within the next week or two at the most to get in on the deal he may be able to get, that should do it ;-) Appreciate it.
